Authentic Bengali thali platter

Our Story

Bangali Barir Ranna — The Taste of Home

Established in 2013, Curry on Wheels is thrilled to be back in the Bay Area, rekindling our passion for authentic Indian comfort meals. We are excited to launch our journey by featuring the soulful culinary traditions of Bengal, bringing you the irreplaceable comfort of East Indian home-cooked food.

Curry on Wheels was born from a simple longing — the irreplaceable comfort of home-cooked Bengali food, thousands of miles away from Kolkata. What started as weekend meals shared among friends quickly grew into a beloved community tradition.

Every dish we prepare carries the soul of a Bengali kitchen. The careful tempering of panch phoron, the slow simmering of kosha mangsho, the delicate balance of mustard in sorshe maach — these are not just recipes, they are memories preserved in spice and fire.

Our weekly Bengali Comfort Meal is a curated thali experience — a complete meal that takes you on a journey through the flavors of Kolkata. From the crispy fish cutlets of College Street to the creamy gurer payesh of a Bengali grandmother's kitchen, each weekend brings a new chapter of this culinary story.
